We offer coastal routes in SitOnTop kayaks.
No previous experience is necessary for simpler routes. For more experienced paddlers wave-surfing can be very exciting.
The most popular seacoast route is The Kolka cape – the Kolka lighthouse.
6 km there and 6 back, to the only island of Latvia, a single-day trip. The possibility to get there depends on weather conditions.
The isle of the Kolka lighthouse is like an open-air museum. All the historical buildings remain on the there, but now it is hosted only by birds - the operation of the lighthouse is fully automatic.
Sea routes depend on the weather conditions, your skills and preferences. You can always find a 2 or more days route along the Latvian sea-coast depending on the wind direction, the water temperature and the height of the waves.
Additional services
If you choose a route down one of the rivers or in the sea, you don’t have to worry about the safety of your car – you can leave it at base. Base offers also the possibility to stay overnight, either in a comfortable tent-site, or in a cozy log rest house with a sauna. In base house catering services are offered as well. If you arrive by public transport, we will pick you up at the bus stop.
